Hey Everybody,

I didn't fall off the earth the normal way, I worked my way half-way around it. haha Hey to anyone who still checks this every couple of months. I have been busy working, but reviews are so boring so I'll stick to this month. Last week, while we were camping, a lot of fun things happened. You know you've lived overseas too long when an outhouse seems like the peak of civilization. We went camping up in the Jailow (pastureland) and there was literally nothing up there except for a couple yurts, lots of animals, and the shepherds and owners. Someone invited us over for tea and we were overjoyed to see their outhouse. hahaha Me and Amanda got wedding proposals - an offer of one horse for either of us. My dad said that we were unavailable. The week before we went camping, we visited Lake Kawpchugai. We had a nice windy day with big waves. All of us got burned, but now we have golden brown tans. Just in time for me to go back to school in FL, huh? We decided to stay overnight at Kawpchugai, but our campground didn't have a shower. We drove down the beach to a nearby camp ground and showered there. WE did have have an outhouse, however. I woke up bright and early and trotted outside. As soon as I had locked the door to the outhouse I see our next-door campground mate making his way over. I suspected a peeping tom, so I kept quiet. He walked over to the other side,  but there was no way he could see in. Suddenly, he started peeing on the side of the outhouse and all over my foot. Now, I was shocked to discover, that I probably don't consider this the most disgusting thing that's ever happened to me. I think eating gross stuff was a much worse and terrifying sensation. Nevertheless, I was quite shocked.

In other news, to get off the outhouse subject, haha, I am back to work now. I only have one student left, but we are going to have a lesson every day next week. Work at the school is going well, too. It was weird switching students since my first three weeks I had the same 3. They poke their heads in when they're walking down the halls on bathroom breaks. I think they miss me!

I am heading back to the States August 8th. I have a CLEP test to ace and some odd things to get done. I'm hoping to have some time to vacation down in Orlando for a few days before school starts. I also have to swtich my major from English Education to Elementary Education. Oi. Life is complicated, that's why God created parents, I think.

Well, i should get off-line, but even I was sick of looking at t hat last post. hahaha I hope your summers are going well.

Hey guys!

WEll, I got baptized in our church basement. It was wonderful: Amanda cried! We have really been blessed all our lives. I love my parents because they challenge me to grow. They always say the most important thing is to read the Word! What a blessing!

Ok, sorry I haven't done xanga in so long. WE are going back to the States in 8 days! I still have to pack: yuck. I hate packing.

I had a great graduation party, though. the greatest girls came! I'm glad that I decided to keep it small. I got some great gifts, but I wish that Bri and Jaclyn could've been there!

   I want to meet Bori.

I am done with high school! I fainted for the first time this week: that was exciting!

It has been raining all week, but yesterday the sun finally came out. I went 6 kilometers for the first time all year, and we made a great time! We were doing under 9 min miles, which is really good. I even felt good after we finished. Amanda finally went, again, too. I think Whitey's hungry 'cuase she keeps looking int he window at me.

Ok, well I need to get off-line before I go bankrupt. I hope sombody reads this! hehehe

Hey everybody,

Or maybe I should have said anybody who is reading this. You must be a very faithful checker of other people's xangas to still be reading mine. I have, afterall, been silent for more than I month, I believe. I wrote a story! I entered it into Bri's contest. If you want a copy, just e-mail me and ask for it. I wanted it to be a story about normal, every day events: nothing dramatic. A kind of Jane Austen idea. [Sorry about the fragment.]

I have finally started doing my devotionals with regularity. That was a  huge jump for me. I am reading through the Bible in a year: I hope. I'm just starting Leviticus, though.

I have sent everything in that was required before Clearwater decides to give me a scholarship or not. Please pray that I will get it if that is God's will for me.

I have a couple of papers pending that i really ought to be doing instead of this, but I saw Heidi's plea for a post; and I was moved.

I just finsihed reading The Screwtape Letters. I was superb: very well written, I must say. There were a couple of questions that it raised, but me and my dad discussed them; and it seems as though C.S.Lewis was dead on. Now i am working my way through The Count of Monte Cristo: I loved the movie, and I was told hte book is even better. I have not met a single case in which the book did not surpass the movie(except October Sky), and this does not seem to be an exception to that rule. I love to read; I have gotten to the point where most movies are a disappointment to me. Plus, any movie that I end up liking always has something in it that I would have left out.
Sin, sin, sin; "Oh waht a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive." He really knew what he was talking about. I have felt my sin on me this month, which is always a good thing. it's when you think you're doing well that you should REALLY start to get worried.

I had the week off, so I expected to accomplish a lot of school. While I did do a lot of school I didn't do nearly as much as I thought I would.

Well, this is a pathetically short post, but no one will read it, anyway. Thanks for taking the time to find out a little about Lucy's day-to-day life. Excuse me while I go watch Nicholas Nickleby. I hope it's good: I borrowed it from Jackie!

Hey guys, guess it's time to up-date.

How do you like my site??? I guess I was in the mood for Valentine's Day! haha I like maroon, and my site seemed like it needed a little something extra.

I have been trying to finish up my short story for Brianna's contest, but I'm stuck. Maybe I'll even switch subjects altogether.

We went to the TSS basketball game last night! We were a little late, but it was so much fun!!!!! The girls won by a huge margin, but the guys lost by 24, I think. The girls are fun to watch, but the guys are a little too into it all for me. i mean, come on, it's just a game! I love to cheer, but few of the other fans cheer unless they get a basket. Amanda gets so into sporting events; she cheers louder than the whole opposition's pep squad put together. I love cheering with her, but it's a lot more fun when other people join in. It would've been fun if Jackie had come or Bri!!!!!

We are looking forward to coming back the the US, but I am also dreading it. It'll be weird when they go back and I stay in FL. They're going to stay in country a month after I go into school, though, so I'll be able to settle in nicely.

haha The other day Mr. Lee called. We were trying to watch our movie, and at least 4 people called during the climax within like 10 minutes of each other. I was so annoyed the time he called, but the second I realized hwo it was, I felt so bad for being annoyed. he is just the sweetest old guy. Dad got so impatient that he picked up the other phone and cut into our conversation. hehehe

I talk about such different people in my xanga posts. No one I know will kno wall the people i just mentioned, so just bear with me. I like to name drop, so just enjoy the ones you recognize.

We just got back from inner tubing! It was so much fun because it just snowed, so the tracks were slower. The down-side was that we had snow spraying us all the way down. Daniel Burns slept-over, and he brought goggles which he kindly allowed meesha to borrow. The 3 tube train ended up being the best way to go down. We had so much more weight this time than we did last time. Our momentum was incredible. I think we had the longest run out of all the other people there. The place we usually go has up-dated this year, there was shashlik(shishkabob), beverages, and candy. We didn't buy anything, but it was nice having the option. Mom and Dad didn't go down once; they are getting less and less daring as they get older. : p The Burns came around 12, but we were pretty much done by then. I went 3 or 4 more times with Meesha, Yulia, and Daniel; but we all went on one tube. We had a blast!!!!!!!!!!!! Thsi is our second time this year, and no one has gotten seriously injured.

As usual, I should be washing my floors, but I needed to rest for a little. I hope someone reads this since I never post, and you've probably all given up on me!

Hey!!!! merry christmas Happy new year, is it easter yet. jk jk yeah, yeah, ok, Ashley finally got through to me. Yes, floor washing is one of my weekly chores,
although this week I skipped it because we went inner tubing!!! It was so
much fun, but Dad was sick and Mom is not high risk so they didn't join
in(preferring to wait in the car:). Noah's friend flew up from the country
to spend 4 days with us ahead of his family who are on their way to
Thailand. He and Noah are tubing experts as far as crash avoidance. haha WE
invited 1 little girls from church and her cousin to come along. Amanda was
on a sleep-over, so she missed out. The girls are both little toothpicks,
and the lack of weight was most difficult to account for. We were injury
free until the very last run. We switched tracks halfway down the hill and
totally wiped out. Poor Noah lost our somersault battle and ended up on the
bottom. He hit his head and his kidneys, but he didn't twist or break
anything. He's fine now, and the rest of us are just a bit sore. No doubt
mom told you that we had a bone chilling cold snap this past week. Yesterday
it finally let up and it was miserably hot because of all the people we had
in our house. Noah's friend, Andrew, has 6 people in his family. They only
stayed one night, and their children are so polite; they were a joy to have.
Amanda started her new job teaching Mrs. Lee English today. She was
impressed with her level of ability, so much so that she will have to
reorganize her whole plan of attack. They are two peas in a pod, and I think
it will go very well. She is still anticipating her first pay check. Mrs. Lee asked if she could pay me in tenge, and i said she could. But, i really want to keep getting payed in dollars.

A very good buddie(Jackie), let me borrow Wicked! It's great. Plus, I am really sick of ALL my music. If anyone feels like spending all their extra cash on sending me a Christmas present, send music! hehehe

The weather has been like a wave pattern recently. WE had a freezing cold snap for a while week, no sun, no heat, then it broke, but the clouds didn't. Thsi week it's been great, but I'm afraid it'll revert to its former freezing temps. Whitey figured out how to get onto the back porch by climbing under the protective plastic wrap, and over the half of the door that is still in tact. haha She is so cute. I am glad she didn't have her puppies, ti would've been too much of a strain on her adn us. DAsh tries to stand the cold, but he has no winter coat. Darcey's staying home more now, too. We started feeding him wet packets, and he plumped up!

Well, the power is out, and my laptop battery is down to 33 percent,a nd about to cut out. Bye everybody. Please forgive me for not commenting.

mkinkaz, Lucy
